The Tabasco Chocolate Festival
emerged in 2010 with the objective of spreading the tradition, culture and gastronomy of the State, positioning it as an agro-tourism product. In its first edition the festival had the collaboration of commercial chocolate houses, cocoa farms; as well as the participation of renowned chocolatiers and local and national specialists who gave workshops, conferences and exhibitions related to the production, marketing and services of cocoa and chocolate. This event was considered the appropriate arena to promote and seek international recognition of Creole cocoa originating from the entity. All this with the expectation that in the short term the festival will be consolidated due to its quality, as a strategic point of the product and the destination.
